Maxillary expansion is an orthopedic procedure commonly used in children to widen the maxilla. This study investigates the tissue, cellular and molecular responses in the sutures during maxillary expansion. Results from this CTOR project support a novel theory for sutural response to orthopedic forces, that emphasizes the importance of osteoclasts in the process. • Read our article to learn how these results impact the way you practice orthodontics! • To learn more read the complete study at • https://innovation.ctor.press/article... • • All about the CTOR project, research and news • https://orthodonticscientist.org • Apply to CTOR education programs • https://www.ctor.academy • Learn about the Mechanotherapy books • https://www.ctor.press • Submit your manuscript to INNOVATION - a Free Open Access Journal • https://innovation.ctor.press
