I'll get a better microphone in the future;; • I get asked a lot about what I'm thinking while picking colors, and how I decide what palette to go with, and to be honest, it's a lot of gut feeling and spur-of-the-moment decision making. Most of the time I just roll with whatever color I put down randomly, and if it doesn't look good, I either work on it some more or scrap it. • Hopefully this video even remotely begins to explain the basic foundation of how I think in terms of color theory. I don't talk about much (I don't even understand how I managed to make a 14 minute long video) but of the things I do talk about, I think they're extremely important to understand and internalize before moving on to actual coloring technicalities. • If you want to see the tutorial images alone, you can find them on my tumblr! • ___________________________________________________________________ • Photoshop Color Wheel Extension: Coolorus (http://www.coolorus.com/) • Program: Photoshop CS6 • Recording Software: Quicktime Player • Editing Software: iMovie • Music: Parting of the Ways - Part 1 Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) • Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License • http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b... • ___________________________________________________________________ • Instagram: / arucelli (@arucelli) • Tumblr: / www • Twitter: / arucelli (@arucelli) • DeviantART: http://www.arucelli.deviantart.com • Contact: [email protected] • Thank you!!
