The town, founded in the 12th century, was divided into the municipalities of Obermeidling and Untermeidling in 1806, which were incorporated into Vienna in 1890/1892. Meidling is located southwest of the city center and it is a so-called working class district. Of course, my video only shows a fraction of the district and more videos from Meidling will follow. As I have already written several times, I would of course also like to show the real Vienna, away from the usual tourist routes. Meidling has 97,078 inhabitants who live over an area of 8.16 km². My walk is concentrated on Meidlinger Hauptstrasse, Ruckergasse and Hohenbergstrasse.
