Carr. This case was argued on the basis of the 14th amendment's equal protection clause. More than that, it established that the Supreme Court CAN rule on questions of legislative redistricting, or, in other words, questions of redistricting are indeed justiciable. • Additionally, Baker v. Carr laid the foundation for the one person, one vote principle, which was further established in later cases.
