Every 90 seconds, the microscope's laser scanned 370 different layers of the embryo, recording the nucleus of each cell (white dots). • • With this and other videos, they created a blueprint of vertebrate development - the Digital Embryo - and solved a controversy over how vertebrate embryos develop.
