Also used to describe whiskies made in column stills. • Blended Malt: Whisk(e)y made by blending malts from more than one distillery. • Blended Grain: Whisk(e)y made by blending grains from more than one distillery. • Blended Scotch or Blend (any other country): Whisky made by blending malt and grain (whiskies) from one or more distilleries. • Pot Still: Predominantly made in Ireland. A style of whiskey made in a pot still using a mash consisting of at least 30% malted barley, at least 30% un-malted barley and, any other grain. • Chill Filtered: A process performed by some producers which sees the whisk(e)y chilled to around 0°to10°, before being screen filtered to remove oily residue left over from the maturation. • N.A.S. Non age stated whisky. No age on bottle. • U.S. Proof: Proof is 2 x ABV. Example…100 Proof = 50% ABV. • Imperial/British Proof: ABV is 4/7 of Proof.
