In this video, I will walk you through how to configure the management interface on a ASA 5506 so you can access the ASDM. • ****************** • NOTES Configs • ****************** • MGMT Config • **************** • interface management 1/1 • ip address 192.168.10.10 255.255.255.0 • security-level 100 • nameif MGMT • • *************************** • Config Allow Https for(ASDM) • *************************** • http server enable • http 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.255 MGMT • #This will be the ip address of the PC# • • Verify if you can ping the MGMT ip address • Open an web browser go to https://192.168.10.10 or the ip you set on the MGMT • You will be prompt for login we set admin/admin • If you don't have the ASDM installed you will be asked to install. • You may have to install (java run time) as well. • • #Set the Target Location on (ASDM App) if it's not set correctly# • • Target # C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cisco Systems\\ASDM\\asdm-launcher.jar # or where ever you have yours installed on your PC# • #Look under C:Program Files (x86)# • • #On ASDM App# • Right click the ASDM App click Properties and change the Target to point to # C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Cisco Systems\\ASDM\\asdm-launcher.jar # click Apply and launch the ASDM
