A young larva of slug moth (Monema flavescens, family Limacodidae) moulting on the leaf of Kaki Persimmon (Diospyros kaki, family Ebenaceae). Soon the spiny caterpillar turned around to face the exuvia. Filmed in the afternoon (15:39 - 15:43 pm) of mid-September 2016 in Japan.
