In this video I'm going to build a device which reads seatalk data from Raymarine instruments and converts data to NMEA native sentences and multiplex NMEA streams (Seatalk, GPS and AIS), sharing them to other instruments using WiFi. • After the deploy, instruments' data are available in realtime to OpenCPN on mobile and desktop, or other software supporting NMEA via wifi. • Further informations, software and schematics are available here: https://github.com/dakk/sail-station/ • Chapters: • 0:00 Demo • 0:11 Preparing the box • 0:50 Connecting cables • 1:11 Drilling holes for SD card • 1:40 Soldering Seatalk interface • 3:52 Testing the circuit • 4:06 Software installation • 4:56 Final assembly of circuits • 6:07 Wiring to the boat Seatalk • 6:24 Connecting to boat wifi • 6:34 Testing on mobile OpenCPN • 7:05 Wifi console debugging • 7:17 Final test on OpenCPN
