How are UTIs managed in care facilities? This is one of the questions we'll be looking at in some of our upcoming projects. • Previous research has indicated that issues may occur in care facilities, around the accurate diagnosis and treatment of UTI. • A 2018 study found that staff are not always trained adequately or at all in the management, identification, and prevention of UTI in older adults, or the importance of hydration. • If you work in a care home, we'd love to hear about the training you receive surrounding UTI, as it can be very different in each facility.
