There was a performance increase. Problem was it was between 3500 and 4500 rpm only. Kind of weakened on the bottom end. So I tossed it and found a 3.4 liter 5vzfe engine from a 1999 Toyota Tacoma. • The 3.4 installed like I detail is an awesome mod. Huge horse power, torque increase and even better MPG to top it off. I was getting 15 MPG with my 3.0 liter. I now get 19 MPG with the 3.4 5VZFE. Then if that is not enough for you guess what. The 3.4 is setup to run a factory OEM Toyota super charger system!
