In this video, I'll tell you what are the common side effects of Diamicron MR, and why you should be careful if you're taking diamicron. The generic name or drug name is called gliclazide, and it belongs to a group of drugs called sulfonylureas, which is common to treat type 2 diabetes. Diamicron MR or also known as Gliclazide MR comes in 2 formulations, 30mg, and 60mg. MR stands for modified release, which means the drug will be slowly released into your body over time. That is why the dosing is always OD, also known as once a day. Whereby, intermittent release gliclazide needs BD dosage or twice a day). What are the common side effects?
