Galerie Perrotin opens its new gallery space at 130 Orchard Street in New York with an exhibition with works by the French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. Entitled “Dark Matters”, the show presents new works, some specially created for the occasion. Jean-Michel Othoniel is known for his work with glass. His seventh solo show with the gallery is dedicated to storms and the violence of the elements. Othoniel's exhibition features a fountain in a blue grotto, wall and floor pieces of mirrored glass bricks, tornado sculptures made of chrome painted aluminium beads, and suspended glass beads knots, among others.
