This is a segment from a US Army Staff Report, 1966 about the Military Assistance Advisory Group's (MAAG) Matsu Defense Command Advisory Team (MDCAT). • I split the segment from the full video, which included segments about operations in Vietnam, and President LB Johnson's tour of the Pacific. The full version is available in the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/details/gov.dod.d... • The film shows the Mudcats (as they called themselves) carrying out duties on the Matsu Islands just off the coast of China. • The MDCAT headquarters on Matsu's Nan-gang Island was recently turned into a museum honoring their work. It is one of at least two US Army Footprints museums in Taiwan.
