After blowing themselves up in Charlotte, Oasis disappeared for 9 months. • Since October of 1996, the band began recording their third studio album, Be Here Now, in Abbey Road Studios. This is not the only place though, as even recording the album would as tumultuous as their last USA tour. However, they would finally finish the album. • The band would make a few appearances in the USA in June, starting in New York at Downing Stadium for a Free Tibet concert on the 7th. They would then make two dates in Oakland as they opened for U2 on the 18th and 19th. But before those concerts, Oasis are invited to the KROQ Weenie Roast. • While they aren't the headliner (I believe The Cure are), Oasis are given 40 minutes for their set, and they show off all the big hits. A great performance of Morning Glory, Some Might Say, and Champagne Supernova in Liams new slightly deeper voice. He sounds great here. I wish they did Morning Glory during the Be Here Now tour. • Many bands involved have or are intertwined with Oasis here. The Chemical Brothers are also here, who did a song with Noel (which would be performed during their set). Echo The Bunnymen are here and would perform Nothing Lasts Forever, in which Liam would provide backing vocals. Blur obviously (turns out Noel and Damon did not slow dance) are here, they are in the middle of a US tour. Radiohead are here, and the two bands have exchanged words previously. And finally, Foo Fighters. It's crazy how all of these bands have albums being released in this year of 1997, and their all somehow tied together. • You'll find that Supersonic is taken from a soundboard source. It's the only song that was aired via radio broadcast, but it's a nice treat. • Wonderwall is strangely quick here. Wonder why. One of my favorite lyric changes too during it. • Oasis are not dead, despite the popular belief.
