Budapest roll or Budapest pastry is a well-known dessert in Sweden. It is a simple yet delicious dessert that can be adapted after your taste buds. • Please Subscribe, like and share • Follow us on: • / trekamilen • ——————————————————————————— • Ingredients • Meringue: • 6 egg whites • 3 dl sugar • 150 g hazelnuts • 0.75 dl potato flour • Filling: • 4 cups whipped cream • 350 g of mandarin cloves (If you don’t want to use mandarin you can use peach, apricot, raspberry, and even the banana) • Garnish: • 25 g of dark chocolate (Can also be changed to another type of chocolate) • ——————————————————————————— • Instruction • Break six eggs and pour only the egg whites in the bowl • Whisk the egg whites until it becomes fluffy • Pour the sugar a little at a time and whisk until it becomes a meringue batter • Mix the hazelnuts finely in a food processor • Add the crushed hazelnuts and potato flour into the meringue batter • Stir the batter very carefully • Spread the batter on a baking sheet, when you are spreading it doesn’t make it too thin or too thick • Put it in the oven at 175°C or 347°C for 20 minutes • When taking out the meringue let it cool for a bit • Add another baking sheet over the meringue in order to protect it • Flip the oven plate • Remove the baking sheet that is attached to the meringue (Start in the corner and remove it slowly) • Whip the cream until it becomes whipped cream • Spread the cream on the meringue • Add your choice of fruits • Roll it carefully • Cut it and serve it
