My name’s Damian. I’m a bartender here at Liquid Kitty in West LA California. And we’re gonna show you how to make a french martini today. French martinis is one of the many martinis that was developed in the 80’s or 90’s with the martini craze. It’s not a traditional martini because it’s not just general vodka but it’s in a martini glass with a martini style drink. We’re gonna start with a martini glass. Normally here at the Kitty, we have a refrigerator full of martini glasses but I’m gonna show you how to chill without it. Put some ice in the martini glass, I like to fill it with water. Some bartenders use soda water. Some will say the soda water chills it faster. Some will say the water chills it faster. It’s totally up to you. I’ll take the shaker glass, which w=is where I’m gonna build the drink in. I’ll fill it with ice because the french martini today, I’m gonna use Grey Goos because it’s a french vodka. We’re gonna use about 2 ounces of Grey Goose. • [2 oz of Grey Goose] • [Grey Goose was originally founded by Sidney Frank before its 2004 sale to Bacardi.] • About an ounce of Pineapple [1 oz of pineapple juice] • And about an ounce of Chambord [1 oz of Chambord] • And we’re gonna shake this up really good. Swirl out our icy water. Got a nice frosted glass there and I’m gonna garnish it with lime today. And then we’re just gonna strain our drink into it. And that’s your french martini.
