Propagating Rhubard - How to Propagate Rhubarb • In this video, I show how to dig up and divide mature rhubarb into multiple plants. Plant the new roots at any depth, rhubarb will grow if you water it. Happy Gardening! • Transcript: Greetings my name is Hank and today i am going to propagate my mature rhubarb plants. A good time to do this is in the fall after all of the leaves have turned brown or in the spring before a very much new growth has taken place. First i clear the outer layer of soil around the plant and dig in a wide circle so as not to cause damage to the roots. Then i pop pieces of the root system up and begin to break it into smaller pieces. Each piece will grow into a new plant, so I dig a hole for each one of them and water them in. They will take over their domain within a few years and can smother out weeds with their enormous leaves. • Get started with Heirloom Rhubarb seeds and compare the best prices on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... • I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
