How to Reset Amazon Echo or Dot (2nd Gen) to Factory Defaults • Step 1: Deregister • Log in to to Amazon • Click on your Name...Accounts Lists (where you manage things) • Scroll down and click 'Your Content Devices' • Click on the Middle Tab, 'Your Devices' • Click on the Device • Click the Dropdown menu and select 'Deregister' • Step 2: Reset Amazon Echo or Dot (2nd Gen): • With device plugged in • Press and hold the Microphone off and Volume down buttons at the same time until the light ring turns orange (about 20 seconds). • The light ring turns blue. • Wait for the light ring to turn off and on again.
