A short summary of the history / tragedy of Richard III, one of William Shakespeare's lesser-known plays, but one which has captured the imagination of people for centuries. My first go at creating my own content, so in future videos I hope to have ironed out some kinks... • Full of history - skewed or otherwise - and the saga of medieval politics in wartime, this drama has lured some of the greatest actors of our time to it's lead: Laurence Olivier, Ian McKellan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, and more. Furthermore, it has inspired some of our most recent TV favourites like The White Queen and the Hollow Crown. • Richard, Duke of Gloucester, sits by the road and elaborates on this plot to seize the English crown.
