Upon a video inspection, we found that this flue had substantial deterioration and cracks. This is extremely dangerous, as the flue is no longer protecting the surrounding materials from products of combustion, i.e creosote or leaking. After reviewing the video with the homeowner, we agreed that the flue had to be re-lined. In this video, we are using a special tool to remove the clay flue liner to make room for a new liner and insulation.
