Welcome back for another Bush Treks Zambia video! This time we visit the Saise Valley just south east of Mbala in north eastern Zambia. Set against the lovely Mount Sunzu, the valley contains fantastic woodland and grassland habitats in the high rainfall belt of the north giving rise to higher levels of biodiversity and in some places, higher rates of endemism (there is at least two endemic plants found only on Mt. Sunzu). • However, this trip our main purpose is looking for orchids, to help continue the genetic work of figuring out how they are related to one another within each different genera. But, as usual, there's more plants that we come across so join us on this short trip to see what's blooming in the dambo grasslands of the Saise Valley! • Video breakdown: • 00:00 Intro • 00:51 Seepage dambo intro • 01:15 Brachycorythis tenuior (Orchidaceae) • 01:50 Orthochilus nuttii (Orchidaceae) • 02:10 Platycoryne buchananiana (Orchidaceae) • 02:24 Habenaria retinervis (Orchidaceae) • 02:44 Habenaria goetzeana (Orchidaceae) • 03:06 Pachycarpus bisacculatus (Apocynaceae - Asclepiadoideae) • 03:28 Heteromorpha involucrata (Apiaceae) • 03:47 Linzia rosenii [syn.
