Proprioception is the body's ability to identify the position of structures in the body relative to one another. It helps to maintain balance and control, eg our muscles activate to stop your ankle rolling. • The Y excursion test targets your ability to maintain balance and control through the ankles, knees, and hips. We use this to compare injured and non-injured sides with atheltes who have experienced acute and chronic injuries. • Normal values: there are a range of values for adults vs children. In adults the anterior attempt should be a minimum of 70 with the posterolateral and posteromedial attempts being closer to 100. • For more information or if you've got any more questions you can have a look on our website https://www.bodyworxphysio.com.au/ or give us a call on 4952 7033. • Visit us: • Newcastle: 1/78-84 Glebe Rd, The Junction, NSW 2291 • Charlestown: 316 Charlestown Rd, Charlestown, NSW 2290 • Corlette/Nelson: Bay 29 Sandy Point Rd, Corlette, NSW 2315 • Kurri Kurri: 2/114 Barton St, Kurri Kurri, NSW 2327 • Cessnock: 174 Wollombi Rd, Cessnock, NSW 2325 • Subscribe on Youtube Channel: http://snip.ly/34b50q • Follow us on Twitter: https://bit.ly/2kOcCv5 • Follow us on Instagram: https://bit.ly/2sxHxQk • Book Online: • https://bit.ly/2Q4s4o8
