I've found it's particularly successful with kids who think poetry is boring, or tend not to be so keen to get their ideas down on the page. • The opening skills building section of the video works well with a whole class group, or with a smaller group working independently. Once the kids begin to introduce themselves they'll work best in groups of 3 or 4. • Something I always take care to point out is that there's no right or wrong way to rap - just as everyone speaks differently day to day, everyone one will rap differently too.
