Original Video: https://archive.org/details/star-crash • Tool used to remove the original score: https://vocalremover.org • For those that don't know I try to keep the tempos the same as the original scores so the timing of the music and the tailer remains the same. • The original score had a slow Starwars music sound alike intro section, a 133bpm disco interlude , and then another slow Starwars section. I tried to keep the same format but using more original orchestra music and disco arrangement. The thing is Ive never had a tempo change in a Logic project before so I had to learn how to do that. • As far as the orchestral music I wrote goes, I felt like I had to go with some classic old/time radio b-movie camp because the dialogue was so over the top. The line The evil count Zarth Arn of the league of dark worlds was too much much and needed a fully diminished seventh chord a la old radio suspense plays. • For the disco section I kept the chords really simple but used a lot of fancy articulations at the beginnings and endings of phrases to add interest to the relatively simple chord progressions and melodies.
