Disclaimer: Boring video of me upgrading my CPU on a MT6728 Gateway Laptop which uses a GL960 motherboard. Please note: results may vary... you will need the latest bios update. • Also you don't have to watch this video. All that's important is that I upgrade my cpu from stock T2330 1.6ghz 533 FSB dual core cpu to a Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2ghz 800 FSB cpu. • I was surprised the CPU could be upgraded to this cpu since there was a change in FSB from 533 to 800. Regardless, this upgrade in cpu has increased performance supposedly by 50% • http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/520/... • Please note, this is a socket P cpu. Also please note that according to readers on some forums, in order to do this upgrade, you need to use slower DDR2 ram. I believe I'm running ddr2 5400 ram... ie 666mhz ram. The increase to 4mb cache should allow for better multi app usage... compared to the 1mb cache of the dual core T2330. • You can read more about the GL960 motherboard here: • http://forum.notebookreview.com/hardw... • Also, even thought the CPU runs at a faster FSB, the amount of energy from both CPU's should be roughly the same at 35W. • I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (   / editor  )
