I played an interesting tom tom drum beat containing some ride bell and hi-hat on odd notes. I also played china cymbal on downbeats in verse. In the chorus, I added straight quarter notes on LP jam block because it sounded so cool to me. Everything became more fluid and straight forward which is natural for the chorus part. • • Lunatic drumming series is a series of drums only videos I am doing from time to time. The point is not to play a drum solo nor a drum cover, but rather to play in a way so that the drumming has a song structure, with verses, choruses, bridges,... Because there are drums only, I have to play a lot of fills and different variations of the same groove, so it doesn't get boring.
