Gylfaginning (Old Norse pronunciation [ˈgʏlvaˌgɪnːɪŋg]; Icelandic pronunciation: ​[ˈcɪlvaˌcɪnːiŋk]; either Tricking of Gylfi or Gylfi's empowerment; c. 20,000 words), is the first part of Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda after Prologue.
