How to Make the Most Succulent SAUSAGE CASSEROLE

Incredible SAUSAGE CASSEROLE recipe! • In this episode we make a classic family meal that’s been around for centuries...the sausage casserole! • A simple dish with simple ingredients. So much warmth and comfort in one dish, bringing families and friends together for many years. • Watch our video and follow the 4 easy steps below to make this at home. • • Ingredients serving 4 portions: • 2 tbsp Olive oil • 9 Chipolata sausages • 2 Red onion (peeled and chopped) • 2 Red peppers (deseeded and chopped) • Chorizo sausage (chopped up into slices) • 3 Cloves of garlic (peeled and minced) • 1 tsp Paprika • Fresh thyme • Rosemary • 120ml Red wine • 2 Chicken stock cubes (crumbled) • 2 Tins of chopped tomatoes (2 x 400g tins) • Cannellini beans (400g tin drained) • • Step One: The Meat • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over a medium high heat. After a couple of minutes add your sausages and chorizo and let them cook and brown for 5 minutes. • • Step Two: The Flavour Makers • Lower the heat to medium and add your onions, peppers and garlic. Cook them alongside the sausages until the onion become translucent and soft. • Sprinkle in the paprika and thyme leaves and mix all the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined. • • Step Three: The Juices • Pour in the red wine, let it come to boil and leave it bubble for 2 minutes while it reduces down. Give the juices a good stir and pay close attention to any ingredients stuck to the bottom of the pan. Scrape them up and incorporate them in the juices. Add the tinned tomatoes and stir well. Once incorporated crumble in the two stock cubes and let them melt in the tomato juices. Turn down the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring half way through • • Step Four: The Beans • Add the last of the vegetables, the beans. Pour in the haricot and cannellini beans and mix them in the casserole. Let the dish simmer for another 5 minutes and then remove from the heat and serve. • Now it’s time to enjoy your sausage casserole! • • This dish can be served with anything you like.
