If you find yourself without your favorite teriyaki marinade, don't fret. It's so easy to make, you'll wonder why you haven't been making it all along. With only a few ingredients and about 20 minutes of your time, you can have the perfect sauce for marinating or dipping. I let this simmer for a bit to reduce down to a syrup consistency for better coating and dipping. • Teriyaki Sauce Marinade • 2 cups, 473ml, lite soy sauce, or your favorite soy sauce or tamari for gluten free • 1⅓ cups, 314ml, dry or golden sherry • 1½ cups, 514g, white granulated sugar • 1½ - 2 bulbs garlic, pulped through a garlic press • 1 tablespoon, 15g, minced ginger • 2-3 tablespoons toasted white sesame seeds • Combine all ingredients in a 4 qt saucepan (it will bubble up, so you'll need the bigger size pan) whisking to dissolve all the sugar over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the sauce begins to thicken. Bottle hot.
