The Glenariff Forest Park is situated in the Glens of Antrim, one of Ireland's most stunning landscapes. A fantastic family day out, the park offers picnic facilities, a shop and some of the most dramatic walking routes that you'll encounter in the country. Glenariff Glen is in the 9th of the 9 glens of Antrim and is often described as the most beautiful. It is sometimes referred to as the Queen of the Glens . The Forest Park covers over 1000 hectars and is comprised of woodlands, lakes and conservation areas. Red Squirels, Hen Harriers and the Irish Hare are just some of the animals that inhabit this area of rich diversity. The area is managed by the Northern Ireland Forest Service. A particular feature of the forrest park is a boardwalk, first constructed one hundred hears ago, to give people access to the rocky gorges and waterfalls that make the place so spectacular.
