The Kingston DC1000B is an M.2 NVMe SSD designed specifically for server boot duty. The drive comes in 240GB and 480GB capacities and has an endurance rating of .5 DWPD. Importantly Kingston includes enterprise-grade features in the DC1000B, highlighted by power loss protection. While many go with the lowest cost option for server boot, investing a little more in something like the DC1000B means that boot drive can now become more, potentially doubling down as a logging drive or perhaps even caching.
