DIY Christmas Ice Balls: https://domesticallyblissful.com/diy-... • Flower ice balls are one of my favorite ways to keep drinks cool for parties, even in winter at Christmastime. • And even though it’s Christmas, I still like my drinks icy cold, especially sparkling juice. • Based on how viral my other tutorials went, I know you all love them too! • While regular ice is always an option, these Christmas Ice Balls last WAY LONGER as they are so much BIGGER!! • And I listened to your awesome ideas, I found a clear container and waterproof mini lights to add to the Christmas party ambiance. • I wasn’t even thinking when I ordered the little lights. • I chose white because I thought it would look the prettiest amongst the ice, but I didn’t think about the contrast between the bright white lights in the container and the warm white lights of our Christmas tree. • Oh well, it was fun to create and in person, the lights looked so good lighting up the Christmas ice. • I went down a rabbit hole researching different types of balloons and trying to find some that are biodegradable and made with 100% natural latex (more on this below). But hint, I found some that are AMAZING!! • I’ve created ice balls a handful of times both with balloons and silicone molds so I have several tips and tricks that I hope will help you when creating these for your next party. • Tips Notes: • 1. This particular tool is only advertised to be used for filling balloons. I don’t recommend you use it for anything but filling balloons. (If you are a farmer or grew up on a farm you’ll know what I mean.) • 2. Boiled distilled water makes the ice more clear, but I needed water pressure to fill these balloons. • … 5. The balloons I used are made from 100% natural latex, they are biodegradable and compostable in 6 weeks and are made with grade food ink.
