It’s a way to protect the domestic industry and the U.S has put tariffs on goods from China, Mexico, Canada and countries in Europe. Unfortunately, all of them can retaliate with their own tariffs, and this creates a trade war where everyone loses. In the end, tariffs are a bad idea, as the cost is paid by consumers in the country that imposes them, not by the exporting country. All they really end up doing is making everything more expensive and if other countries retaliate, it also becomes harder to sell American goods abroad. • CLIENT: Wow, ok! • ADVISOR: And of course, learn about money and investing by subscribing to my channel the Keystone Financial Academy on YouTube! • DISCLAIMER • This video was created for informational and educational purposes only, and should not be construed as a source of specific investing, financial, accounting, or legal advice.
