MAN WINS US100 IN CONTEST TO FIND UGLIEST MAN IN HARARE

(29 May 2012) A Harare man upstaged five fellow contestants to become the inaugural Mr Ugly Harare. • 37-year-old William Masvinu romped to victory at the first Mr Ugly pageant held in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare, on Tuesday. • Though being held in the capital for the first time the competition is now in its fourth year. • Asked why he had chosen to take part in the competition, William, who was accompanied by his wife Alice, said he needed the money. • My wife was on my case this morning needing money for food and I had none.
