/ @nenrikigaming   Star Force (MSX port) • This is the msx port of Star Force originally developed by Tehkan in 1984. Ported and published here by Hudson in 1985. • The objective of the game is to control the Final Star spacecraft and destroy enemy air and ground objects in the space setting. • The game is divided into areas from alpha to omega, which are written in Greek letters. When a certain number of ground and air objects are destroyed, the background music changes and the terrain stops there for a moment. A base that launches the area target (in fact, a boss character) appears beyond that. Therefore, the length of an area is not fixed, and the terrain progresses regardless of the area number. • When the area target is destroyed, the player clears the area and can proceed to the next area after a message indicating the area clear and a score calculation of the bonus target. On the other hand, if the area target is not destroyed and escapes off the screen, the area clear fails, and the player must defeat the same number of enemies again until the same area target appears. • The area target is a large character twice the size of a normal character, with indestructible turrets on both sides of the base. The body is marked with the Greek letter of that area, and is called Alpha Target, Beta Target, and so on. After Omega Target, it becomes Infinity (∞) and does not change thereafter. • After the area target appears, it moves down while swaying greatly to the left and right of the screen. If you hit the body eight times during this time, it can be destroyed. The direction it moves to the left and right first can be determined by the hundredth digit of the score. If it is odd, it moves to the left, and if it is even, it moves to the right. • The amount of bullets fired by the turrets on the left and right increases with the number of areas, and the difficulty of destroying the target increases. • The current area is displayed in the lower right corner of the screen. As you clear each area, the area display changes to ALPHA-AREA , BETA-AREA , and so on, and the number increases. After OMEGA-AREA, it becomes INFINITY-AREA. After INFINITY-AREA, the display does not change. • At certain times during the game, an enemy sphere-shaped transport plane called Caldron appears. A friendly aircraft called Parcer is captured in this, and the Parcer can be released by destroying the Caldron. • When the released Parcer touches the player's spaceship, the player's spaceship and the Parcer merge. During the merge, the speed of the shots is increased, and a medium-level continuous fire is possible by holding down the button. In addition, the upward and downward movement speed is increased to 1.5 times that before the merge. The sound of the shot and the BGM also change to a lighter one. • If the player's spaceship is already merged with the Parcer, the Caldron will not appear. • If the player misses the Caldron or fails to merge with the Parcer, the Caldron will appear again immediately after that. • This game features a variety of hidden characters and bonus points that can be obtained through specific strategies. These hidden elements appealed to gamers in a number of ways, including: • Competition for high scores • The fun of searching for hidden elements • The challenge of mastering techniques to obtain bonus points • Check the video if you want to know them. • Chapters: • 00:00 Alpha Area • 02:03 Beta Area • 04:05 Gamma Area • 06:08 Delta Area • 07:43 Epsilon Area • 09:37 Zeta Area • 11:22 Eta Area • 13:20 Theta Area • 15:17 Iota Area • 17:27 Kappa Area • 19:28 Lambda • 21:22 Mu Area • 23:22 Nu Area • 25:23 Xi Area • 27:11 Omicron Area • 29:17 Pi Area • 31:09 Rho Area • 33:06 Sigma Area • 35:03 Tau Area • 37:11 Upsilon Area • 39:21 Phi Area • 41:15 Chi Area • 43:13 Psi Area • 44:51 Omega Area • 46:53 Infinity Area • 49:02 Infinity Area' • 51:20 Infinity Area'' • 53:13 Infinity Area''' • •   / nenrikigaming
