Garmin has recently issued a Service Advisory six months after the Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter hit the shelves. It has been a tough start for their new pod-less pedal based power meter with reports of battery housing issues, firmware bugs, and spindle tensioning issues. The user forums are alight with issues people have experienced. I'm in that boat too. After receiving my replacement battery doors I decided to step through the Service Advisory to see if the issues it was addressing were fixed.... and while I was at it, I put the pedals though the Lama Lab test more times than I had first expected. Some interesting results were observed from a number of comparisons and static weight tests on my Vector 3 pedals. • Video Index: • 0:00 Intro • 0:14 Service Advisory Details • 1:55 Hands-on: Spindle nut torque/tension check • 7:25 Hands-on: Battery cap replacements • 10:25 Hands-on: Firmware update (Garmin Connect Mobile) • 10:52 Pedal Install and Road test • 12:34 Service Advisory Review / Wrap up • 12:49 Road Test Data Review • 14:40 Lama Lab Test #1 Neo/2INPower/Vector3 • 16:36 Lama Lab Test #2 Neo/2INPower/Vector3 New Batteries/Re-Install • 17:35 Lama Lab Test - Vector3S (Single Pedal Test) • 18:51 Static Weight Test / Calibration • 21:18 Lama Lab Test - Post Scale Correction of Vector3 • 23:04 Wrap Up / Summary / What now? • Please subscribe to support this YouTube channel: https://goo.gl/QS5YZg • ----------- • Web: http://shanemiller.net • Instagram: / gplama • Strava: / strava • Twitter: / gplama • YouTube: / gplama • -------------------
