Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty, and uncomfortable. • Making Knitting Knockers has become a project near and dear to my heart. If you feel inspired and you are looking for a fun and quick knitting project, consider making these as your charity project. You can mail these to KnittedKnockers.org or find women in your community who might need them. • I'm using the patterns and the suggested yarn from KnittedKnockers.org. https://www.knittedknockers.org/ • This video uses the BOTTOMS UP pattern. • They are a wonderful group and help many many women! Find both knitting and crochet patterns on their website as well as approved yarns. Size 5, 24 inch cord. Since I make so many of these and plan on continuing for years, I splurged and treated myself to these beauties. Nice sharp points and a great cord.
