Android is the most popular mobile operating system. It runs on millions of devices in many locations of the world. To make an android app which is localized for all the regions to reach to maximum people. In android, Localization is a process to change the string into multiple languages based on the requirements of the app. • While implementing localization in the android app, you need to handle text, audio files, numbers, currency, and graphics in a way that is appropriate for the locales where your application will be used. • Follow these steps to know How to create a multi-language app in android studio: • 1. Create a New android studio project. • 2. Now Create a values folder by appending the Hyphen and ISO language code. • 3. To add support for Japanese, create a values folder named values-ja under the res folder and add a strings.xml file in it with all the strings that need to translate into the Japanese Language. • 4. Similarly, you can do to support the localization of strings in multiple languages such as Telugu, Hindi, and Japanese. • 5. Once you create the required files, Change the device language through Settings à Language Input à Select Language (Japanese). • 6. If the selected language is Japanese, android will load the string values from a values-ja/strings.xml file. • 7. Now consider loading the string values from the strings.xml file to make language-translation easy. • 8. Now open activity_main.xml file from \ es\\layout folder path and write the code shown above. • 9.Open your main activity file MainActivity.java from \\java\\com.tutlane.localizationexample path and write the code like as shown in the video. • 10.
