On Thursday 21st March, six choirs from across the GDST family of schools performed in the final of our Young Choir of the Year competition at Cadogan Hall. It was a stunning event in an awe-inspiring venue and every choir utterly impressed. • The girls performed in front of a panel of acclaimed judges including Anna Lapwood, Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge, composer Anna Appleby, and Kevin Stannard, Director of Performance and Outreach at the University of Wolverhampton. After the final performance, and whilst the judges deliberated, the girls took part in a massed choir to perform ‘This is me’ from the hit musical ‘The Greatest Showman’. • The six GDST schools that competed in the final were: • Oxford High School - watch from 6:45 • Putney High School - watch from 17:00 • Notting Hill Ealing High School - watch from 24:08 • Howell's School, Llandaff - watch from 31:57 • South Hampstead High School - watch from 40:55 • Blackheath High School - watch from 47:30 • The winning choir was South Hampstead High School. Watch their final two songs from 1:14:28
