Compared to the S-400, the M142 HIMARS is a rocket launcher that fires missiles with a caliber of 227 mm. Its operating range varies depending on the ammunition used, ranging from 1.2 to 186 miles or up to 311 miles when using the Precision Strike Missile. The system can fire 6 × 227 mm M26, M30/M31 series rockets or one MGM-140 ATACMS missile.
