LaMelo's return will be any day now... • Will he and the Hornets have enough to rally to close the season and not only make the playoffs but secure a Rookie of the Year award for Melo as well? • His return is what sparked this video. I have to admit, I used to put the Ball Family (especially LaVar) in the Kardashian category. Meaning, I considered them toxic and tried to limit my exposure to them. While there are def some of those feelings remaining, it is hard to deny what Melo has been able to do on the court this season. The question is, with so much early fame and success even prior to his NBA debut, can LaMelo keep his focus on the game of basketball and stay improving each year. Recent reports on who LaMelo is dating currently, might put this in doubt. Lavar apparently is not happy at all about his son being linked to the adult film star, Teanna Trump. • Personally, I am not a fan of Lavar. I think he believes in the old saying that any publicity is good publicity. He seems to have no buffer on what comes out of his mouth and several of his comments have left me feeling offended and to put it frankly, pissed off. You can't deny what he has done to help his boys be successful though, at least when it comes to producing NBA Players. I think you have to be careful to praise a guy like Lavar but it is clear he does have some strengths as a father and deserves credit for being so heavily involved in his boys' lives. • I had never watched any of the Ball in the Family episodes, but in the process of making this video I can certainly see why people might have watched it. There are definitely some funny moments produced from the show, a lot of which are in this video. We also can't sleep on Lonzo the player and how much work he has put in to improve his game and 3 point shooting.
