Flamenco Picking Technique For Bass Geddy Lee Bryan Beller Chuck Rainey

This week we're looking at a technique I refer to as Flutter Picking but you'll also see described as Flamenco Picking. I first saw this technique used by the great Chuck Rainey but have since seen it's application by guys like Geddy Lee of Rush and Bryan Beller. • This fingerstyle technique allows you to play even faster than you can with a single finger and provides a different, more fluid sound when playing 16th note lines. • Bryan Beller has used this technique most notably in his lines with the fictional band Dethklok from the series Metalocalypse and Geddy Lee has used the technique in a lot of the later albums by Rush.
