Parotitis || Lymphadenitis || Normal Thyroid Gland • Ultrasound Examination of Thyroid Gland:- • Both Gland within normal size shape and echogenicity. No focal lesion is seen. • ULTRASONO OF BOTH SUBMADIBULAR AND PAROTID GLAND • Left side: • Normal in size shape. • Homogenous echotecture. • No focal lesion or abnormality is detected. • Duct are not dilated. • No embedded lymphnode is seen. • Right Side • Both submandibular and parotid gland enlarge in size shape. • Multiple small hypoechoic reactive enlarge embedded lymph node measuring larger few 1.5cm, 8.3mm and 9.5mm. • Suggestive of Parotitis right side with multiple reactive lymphadenitis. • Ultrasonographic prediction • Ultrasonography is a diagnostic imaging tool that can evaluate the salivary glands, including the parotid glands, for conditions such as parotitis. • Parotitis is an inflammation of the parotid glands, which can be due to bacterial or viral infections, blockage, autoimmune diseases, or other causes. • Size and Shape: The parotid gland may appear enlarged or altered. • Echogenicity: The parenchyma of the gland may present with increased echogenicity (brightness) or heterogeneous echotexture due to inflammation. • Blood Flow: Doppler imaging can be used to assess the vascular pattern. • Increased vascularity may be present in cases of inflammation, showing more blood flow to the affected area. • Lesions: Ultrasonography can reveal focal or diffuse lesions within the gland, which might indicate an abscess or other focal inflammatory processes. • Ductal Changes: The ducts may be dilated if there is a blockage causing a backup of saliva, which can lead to sialadenitis, a type of parotitis. • Presence of Calculi: Sometimes, sialolithiasis (salivary stones) can cause parotitis by blocking the salivary flow, and these stones can often be identified on an ultrasound. • Surrounding Tissue: The ultrasound might also show edema or fluid collection in the tissues around the parotid gland, which indicates inflammation. • Disclaimer - • **Disclaimer: All information is for educational purposes only and is the personal view of the author. • If you have any questions then please do your own research and consult with your health care practitioner. • Please share your experiences with me, I would like to hear from you, Thank You. • Thank you so much for Watching and Commenting. • PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE. • #Unifiedmedicare #korobiscorner #amyrahartsandcrafts • My Channel link •    / @korobiscorner4519   • Facebook Page •   / unified-medicare-231840380698322   • Reference • Leslie M.
