Between 1846 and 1914, Britain and the United States went from rivals to tenuous allies. The process was long and fraught with danger however. This video aims to be a short documentary looking at Anglo-American relations in this area, focusing on the era from the end of Polk's Presidency, through the Civil War, and to the beginning of WW1.
