In this video we will show how to install a Rock Shox Reverb Stealth telescopic seatpost and how to bleed it. • Today we are going to install a Rock Shox Reverb seatpost, the stealth model which has the hidraulic hose at the bottom. We are going to cut the hose to fit the correct size of our bike, install it and bleed the line so the remote works correctly. • Fist of all we are going to install the handlebar remote actuator. • As you can see this part is threatened. Install it and double check it has been correctly fitted. Once done, place the remote on the handlebar. • Now we are going to cut all the left over hose. Take a look where the seatpost will be installed. If it’s going to rest on the upper side we will need more hose lenght and if it’s going to rest on the lower side less hose lenght is needed. In this case we will cut so to have less hose lenght. • Cut it and with a sharp tool open the hole. Install this part and then the other which threatens agains the seatpost base. While you are tightening the bolt with a torx tool, apply some force to help it. • Once installed double check it has been correctly fitted. • Now threaten the hose to the seatpost and check that internal o-ring is not being pinched, if not oil can leak. • While tightening you can notice that the seatpost base turns freely. Keep it in place with a 10mm spanner and final tighten it. • Now we are going to bleed the system. For that we will need a couple of syringes. • Remove the bleed bolt from the seatpost and from the remote and threaten the syringes bleeders. It’s something like a brake hose bleeding, but instead using mineral oil or DOT oil we are going to use a 2,5 weight oil. If you use a more weight oil the seatpost will work very slowly. • Push one syringe while pulling the other. You can see air bubbles inside. If some air bubbles remains inside the hose the seatpost won’t work correctly, so repeat the process more tan two times. • Once done remove the syringes and install both bleeder bolts. • Clean spilled oil thoroughly and pull the hose so to insert the seatpost into the frame. Pull always carefully from hose so it doesn’t get clogged inside the frame. • It’s also nice to apply some grease here. As this kind of seatposts are telescopic this part will remain in this position for a long time. • Now Installation is done! • Now you know how to install and bleed your Rock Shox Reverb stealth telescopic seatpost. • Hope it helps and see you on next video! • Well, hope it has been useful, And remember that all of your component and bicycle manipulation is under your responsability.
