This multicultural quarter is the meeting point of Africans in Belgium. The Congolese who lived in Brussels after the independence of Congo baptized the neighborhood as Matongé. Like in Kinshasa, Matongé offers various hairdressers, wig shops, boutiques with cosmetics, jewelers and shops with colorful wax fabrics.
