The Salt Spring Abattoir is a community facility managed by the the not- for- profit Salt Spring Abattoir Society. • It provides custom slaughter service for both red meat and poultry to local producers in a new, professional, licensed facility with a government appointed meat inspector from the B.C. Ministry of health present for the slaughter of all animals. • This facility processes the well-known Salt Spring Lamb and prides itself in the most humane handling of animals and innovative techniques to turn out some of the best processed lamb carcasses.
