I wonder if John Cage was somehow aware of this film. Actually, now that I see, according to MuppetWiki, that the music was composed and/or performed by Peter Schickele (a.k.a.) P.D.Q. Bach, there's probably a good chance that Cage was in the know. I should also give honorable shoutouts to the other members of Schickele's The Open Window trio: Stanley Walden and Robert Dennis, the latter of whom would go on to underscoring other films, such as the Mad Painter series and some mid-western farming films, the most noteworthy being Milk Song .
