I first met Tony Gibson, Garrison Sergeant Major (GSM) for Edinburgh just under a year ago at the rehearsal for the 6th Opening of The Scottish Parliament. After his quip about me running up the Royal Mile from Holyrood Palace accompanying Rolls Royce One, we had a chat on the way back down The Royal Mile to The Scottish Parliament and became friends. • The last week has been intense for Tony with the sad passing of HM Queen Elizabeth in Scotland, operation Unicorn came to fruition and being the Garrison Sergeant Major for Edinburgh, Tony was very much involved. • I have spent a few hours trawling my footage from the last year to create a VT of Tony in action in and around Scotland's Capital city. I'd like to highlight the incident on George Street during the parade to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War. I was filming the Scots Guards Association Pipe Band and Tony had just passed me by. One of the pipers collapsed to the ground so I gave Tony a shout and we can see him rushing to assist the downed piper. We didn't see Tony again that day for another hour as he gave First Aid to the piper and saw him off to hospital. Tony tells me the piper is now fine having been brought back that day.
